Understanding the Hierarchy

How Plans, Products, and Accounts relate to each other

Understanding the Hierarchy

Before configuring your challenges, you need to understand how Plans, Products, and Accounts work together. Get this wrong and you'll confuse yourself (and your customers).

The Three Levels

Hierarchy: Plan → Product → Account

Plan (rules) → one plan can have many products
Product (what's sold) → one product can create many accounts
Account (what's created)

Plan

A Plan defines the rules of your challenge:

  • Drawdown limits (daily, lifetime)
  • Profit targets per phase
  • Number of phases (1-step, 2-step, 3-step)
  • Trading restrictions (news, weekend, hedging, etc.)
  • Profit split percentages
  • Minimum trading days
  • All other rule configurations

Example Plan: "2-Step Challenge"

  • 5% daily drawdown
  • 10% lifetime drawdown
  • Phase 1: 8% profit target
  • Phase 2: 5% profit target
  • 80% profit split
  • 5 minimum trading days

Product

A Product is what customers actually buy. It combines:

  • A Plan (the rules)
  • An account size ($10k, $50k, $100k, etc.)
  • A price ($99, $299, $499, etc.)

Example Products (all using the same "2-Step Challenge" plan):

Product NameAccount SizePrice
2-Step 10k$10,000$99
2-Step 25k$25,000$199
2-Step 50k$50,000$299
2-Step 100k$100,000$499

Same rules, different sizes and prices.

Account

An Account is created when someone purchases a Product. It's the actual trading account on your broker platform.

When someone buys the "$50k 2-Step Challenge":

  1. Order is created in Propriotec
  2. Phase 1 Account is created (login: 12345)
  3. If they pass Phase 1 → Phase 2 Account is created (login: 12346)
  4. If they pass Phase 2 → Live Account is created (login: 12347)

Each phase = new account with new login number.

Addons

Addons are optional extras customers can add at checkout. They modify the Product's terms.

Common addons:

  • 90% Profit Split — adds 10% on top of base split
  • Double Leverage — 2x the standard leverage

Addons have their own price, which gets added to the Product price.

Example:

  • Product: $50k 2-Step Challenge — $299
  • Addon: 90% Profit Split — $59
  • Total: $358
